Certification:

The Certification Examination is a national exam that is given three times a year by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) and documents the knowledge attained through formal training. You must attend an accredited program to be eligible to sit for this national certification examination.  The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is nationally recognized as a qualified, professional, multi-skilled member of the healthcare team who shows their commitment through continuing education and proof of continuing competencies.
