Vision: To create a comprehensive Advanced
Manufacturing Resource
Center for the Upstate region of South Carolina
Mission: To deliver a wide range of industry-driven
training opportunities aimed at producing a ready supply
of highly-skilled workers (both new and incumbent) to meet
the emerging and future employment demands of regional manufacturers. |
Aim:
To create strategic partnerships between the local workforce
investment system, business representatives, and education/training
providers in order to meet the employment challenges of the
advanced manufacturing industry.

Industry: Identifies competencies and skills
required to maintain a qualified workforce and provides new
employment opportunities.
• Education/Training Providers: Develops
industry-driven competency models and curricula in order to
train new and incumbent workers.
• Workforce Investment System: Analyzes
local labor market trends, accesses human capital (youth,
unemployed, underemployed, dislocated workers), provides outreach
services, and connects skilled workers to good jobs. |
